Nice architecture, but they were not transparent, prepared, nor professional. The area around it is sketchy, too, with bars on the windows and homeless everywhere. We had the Penthouse.

Issues:
1. The elevator was shut down by the fire Marshall for being unsafe.
2. Floors were dirty and not cleaned. We ended wiping them down ourselves.
3. 3 of 3 TVs didn't work
4. Door knobs on the guest room were falling apart.
5. Crumbs were on the cost
Couch.
6. The manchild working the front desk didn't want to help or didn't know how to.
7. The club and bar were closed down due to staff quitting.
8. The security guy looked ....?!
9. Duck tape was on the walls and painted over, trying to hide holes.
10. The spa was closed as well.
11. They had a wall in the parking lot that appeared to have a car run through it.

So in all, none of the amenities were available, and the staff does not have hospitality experience nor the drive to want to help.

It's in a sketchy area, and they don't take care of the grounds very well.

We tried booking another place, once they informed us the manager only shows up periodically and they can't assist with partial refund or even with getting us waters.

We are gonna reach out to a manager via email and to resolve this, but if not, we'll just have the credit card company handle it.

Small hotel, decor was fun, but I'm pretty sure we were the only people in the hotel for the entire weekend. You can have a water bottle for a hefty price and the coffee pot was broken. The beds weren't terrible but the room was a little on the dirty side. Location isn't bad, between the strip and freemont. I probably wouldn't stay here again.

This was by far the most horrific hotel experience I have ever had. The customer service was absolutely atrocious, and the conditions were beyond unacceptable. The elevated rooms, which were advertised as luxurious with in-room air purifiers for cannabis use, were a complete scam. Instead, they turned out to be nothing more than dirty, outdated smoking rooms that reeked of cigarette odor, leaving my clothes, hair, and body smelling disgusting.||The so-called air purifier looked like it was from the 1980s and didn’t even work. To make matters worse, we were greeted with a dirty towel on the floor and no hot water in the shower after a long day of travel. The app for ordering room service didn’t function, and the menu items looked unappetizing online with ridiculously high prices.||When I went to the front desk to complain, they refused to refund my stay or offer any meaningful compensation. Instead, they moved me to another “smoking room,” which was just as disgusting—complete with a dirty bandage on the floor, a dirty ashtray, and a broken heater that fell to the ground when I tried to adjust it. At 1 AM, the front desk offered to send a technician, but I was too exhausted to deal with it by that point.||The lack of care, cleanliness, and basic functionality at this hotel is staggering. The staff showed no remorse, offered no compensation, and provided an experience that was utterly intolerable. Avoid this place at all costs—do NOT stay here under any circumstances. It’s a complete nightmare.

We had a lovely stay at the Lexi (December 2024).
It's located in an industrial area of town, but when you pull into the tree-covered parking lot, it's like an oasis that feels completely removed from the busy, money-hungry Vegas vibe. It's pretty centrally located between downtown and the strip, with easy access to the freeway. We actually never saw any unhoused individuals wandering around-- a nice difference from many of the downtown hotels we've stayed at.
The entry and lobby have a grand, art deco-era aesthetic, which appears to have been recently restored with a modern boutique twist. There is a nightclub/bar in the lobby, and based on the reviews I was expecting it to be loud and disruptive, but I never heard any excessively loud music any of the times we walked in and out.
Raymond checked us in, and he was warm, friendly, and welcoming. We assumed the pool would be closed because it is December, but he informed us that it was open.
Our room was clean when we checked in, and during our stay we did see a maintenance employee working on a nearby room, so it appears that they are still working on upgrades and maintenance.
The room was nicely renovated, although there was significant water damage visible on the bathroom ceiling and wall, and the bathroom dehumidifier didn't work, so by the second afternoon of our stay we had to open the window to get the musty, mildewy smell to dissipate. The bed in our room was very firm, and the a/c didn't really work well, which did make for some uncomfortable nights. The in-room fridge was clean and very much appreciated (we've stayed several places in Vegas that don't have refrigerators as a standard room feature). The nightstands had both standard plugs and USB ports, another very welcome feature.
There was a hair dryer and a clothes steamer in our room, and the elevator worked every time we used it. The fitness center looked fantastic, but we were too busy this trip to use it.
Overall, our experience was positive, and we actually booked a second stay before leaving. Yes, it is an older hotel so the rooms, while renovated, still show their age (like the water damage and spotty a/c unit), but it was actually cleaner and nicer than several other boutique/renovated hotels we've stayed at downtown.

A horrid experience. This is not a real hotel, and it has no decent amenities.

First of all, it’s super confusing. The “420 friendly rooms” are only a portion of the rooms, one of the floors isn’t 420 friendly. This information is misleading and not posted anywhere when you book a room. They’re called “elevator rooms”— how on earth is any customer supposed to know what that means? It’s bad.

Second, they had nothing. Can we check out an hour later than usual? No. Can we have extra pillows, there aren’t enough in our room? No. Can we use any amenities like the pool or restaurant? No. Can we have coffee that isn’t decaf, we don’t drink decaf? No. Can we have a screen on our window to not let bugs into the room? No.

Since all this place is is a bed, are the beds at least comfortable? No. I couldn’t sleep a wink.

Every single request of this place was a no. It was soooo disappointing. It’s in a horrible location and it has zero redeeming qualities. I’d avoid this place like the plague.

Rooms reminded me of NYC SOHO. Simple and clean. Food is delicious. The GM is amazing. Love this hidden gem..it’s a boutique hotel without the noise.. Highly recommended.

In my 17 years as a travel advisor, I have never experienced a stay as truly awful as our stay at The Lexi. It included everything from unsafe practices, with hotel staff entering our room WHILE WE WERE SLEEPING without our consent, to broken sinks, showers and air conditioning, to excessive noise both nights making it impossible to sleep, even with earplugs. Amenities were non-existent, and multiple attempts to rectify the situation were ignored. Avoid at all costs.
