I want to give a shout out to Michael, Edman and the Acura team. Thank you Michael for going out of your way and picking me up from the Amtrak station and coming in on your day off to get my truck ready. I took my 2025 integra here today because the car play would not connect. I spoke to Chris over the phone the day before and he explained that I could just walk in that he wanted to trouble shoot it. I originally purchased the vehicle at Acura Zamora dealership in Stockton only about two months ago, but I now live and work in Modesto. So, I did that today.

I was greeted by the service Dept. Manager. I explained why I was there and he immediately asked if I had an appointment. I told him that I was instructed to stop in.

He began questioning as though I was not telling truth, then he asked me if I purchased it there. I told him, no. He started to question why Stockton did not fix it. I tried to explain that they tried but it was over the weekend and they could not get it to work, they said that I needed service which was not open.

He seemed very irritated, but then Chris overheard and told him that he talked to me the day before, and asked me to stop in. Over the years I have owned many different Acuras partly because of my experience at the dealership, but this manager was not very nice, he was Rude. Taking the drive to Stockton is worth it because I never had that type of experience there. In fact, they are friendly, and courtesy in every dept. The only reason I gave two stars is because of Chris. He was friendly and he was able to fix the problem.

I am an Office Manager, but I wouldn’t be if I treated my customers as he treated me today. Looks like I’m driving to get my car serviced in the future.

My wife and I just purchased a RDX from them. Michael, our salesman, was very good. Initially, he gave us space when we were looking but stayed close enough for us to ask questions. Everything he said was clear and informative. He may be a Cowboys fan but try not to hold that against him, ask for Michael if you plan on buying a car.

I purchased a certified MDX Hybrid last year from Acura of Modesto and noticed an error code U3003-16. I asked about the error code, and all they did was clear the code from the log. Every time I started the vehicle, the error code would show again. I brought the vehicle to their service department and was told it was just a software issue.

A week or two later, the service department called and said to bring the vehicle in for a software update. After applying the update, the error code still showed each time I started the vehicle. Again, they said it was just a software issue.

When I brought the vehicle to Acura of Pleasanton for routine service less than a year later, I mentioned the problem, and they suggested that I replace the 12 volt battery. This resolved the problem, but the 12 volt battery was no longer under warranty even though it would have been when I first purchased the CPO vehicle and for the first 3-4 months that I owned the vehicle.

I called Homer, the sales manager I worked with when originally purchasing the vehicle from Acura of Modesto, and asked if he could provide any compensation since their service department could not properly diagnose and resolve the problem. I left many voice messages without receiving a return call. I finally was able to speak to Homer after trying for about a month.

He said that he spoke to the service manager, who noted that the error code was U3003-1, even though it was actually U3003-16, and that since the battery passed the CPO inspection, he could not offer me any compensation.

A Google search for the error code mentions that it could be related to the health of the 12 volt battery. I should have mentioned this to the service department last year but (wrongly) assumed they would know how to diagnose the problem.

I very rarely post online reviews, but this experience has been so disappointing that I wanted to share.

Very pleasant car buying experience. Everyone seemed very knowledgeable, genuinely happy to help and answer all of our questions. I just want to say that I had the best experience with Brandon and Gordon at Acura of Modesto. I purchased a used vehicle in December 2023 and a few things were noticed before purchase, such as the breaks squeaking, but after I took it home, I noticed a few other things with the vehicle that I did not notice during the test drive. I was not upset at the dealership at all because I’m responsible for thoroughly looking at everything before purchasing. They contacted me to just follow up with me to make sure I was happy. I replied yes, but also told them my newer discoveries with the vehicle. Right away they offered to fix everything, even though they had no obligation to repair anything after purchase. They wanted to make sure my vehicle was everything my family needed and wanted. I’m so impressed with this dealership as not only were they 100% open and honest on their side (which is rare for a dealership per my past experiences), they were also caring after my business and wanted to make sure I was taken care of. I’ll definitely continue my future car purchases with this dealership when my family is ready for another vehicle.
