Was super excited for this location to open up and it has not disappointed. One of the place places to get a sandwich on Gainesville. I can't just pick one sandwich to recommend since they're all amazing, including breakfast! Not only is the food delicious, but the staff is wonderful. They're always super welcoming and friendly towards everyone who comes in. Paperbag deli is an amazing addition to the community.

I would rate this a SOLID 4.5 stars. The only reason I am not giving all five stars, is because I ate here just this once. Otherwise, all the different options that I ate were amazing. Don't sleep on this one 🫣
Being from South Florida it is always hard trying to order a good Cuban sandwich in G'ville, but they hit it out the park. Y'all better take my word for it and get over here soon!

The food is wonderful but lordy this place needs ventilation. My eyes were watering the whole time, it was smokey inside, and my hair/clothes smelled horribly until I could get home and wash everything. To sum up: come here it's delicious, but wear clothes you're not planning on wearing long

I had the Philly/French Dip Crossover sandwich and it was amazing! I took it to go and when I got home it was still hot and fresh! I also loved the 80’s/90’s decor! I can’t wait to go back and bring my son’s! They will love the Ninja Turtle decor!

First time here. I got the #12 it had french toast as the bread.
I was surprised it came with a side of syrup, but honestly it made sense.
The combination of the stone ground mustard, the french toast, the black forest ham and syrup really went together.

I'm glad I was able to come here before moving.

If you want a sandwich with an interesting experience, I recommend coming here.

Reference the attached pictures, I ordered two number 2s, neither have the shaved turkey they are supposed to have according to the menu, this is the second time this has happened. This is frustrating because this place has good food when the order is correct and the location is convenient. Generally speaking, it seems this location is experiencing issues since the down town location opened, a few months back I tried calling several times during business hours to place an order and they did not answer the phone, I needed to run an errand in the area, drove by and they were open, not busy, and I guess just not answering the phone.

I moved to Europe, and on my first visit back, this was the second restaurant that I visited. The #7 is the best sandwich that's ever been sandwiched. Definitely worth the 9.5 hour flight.

We visited on Saturday in the middle of lunch service. It reminds me of a hole in the wall joint. It was great. The decor and looks is from 80’s to early 90’s. Lots of pork choices on the menu which isn’t my preferred meat, but I have the Jean Claude van damn it’s so good. It was good. I didn’t really get that habanero kick in the sauce that was supposed to be on it. But it was still a good flavor. My husband got the sopranos. He loved it. Said it was worth sitting in the freezing cold for that sandwich. (He hates the cold). If we were ever in Gainesville again, we would stop for lunch there. Great vibe. Great food. Great service.
